Abstract

Objective To study and analyze the effect of Reduning in the treatment of rotavirus enteritis. Methods 71 patients with rotavirus enteritis treated at our hospital from February, 2014 to February, 2015 were selected as study subjects and were divided into a experimental group (n=38)and a control group (n=33). The experimental group were treated with Reduning and the control group ribavirin. The treatment effects, observation indicators, and stool conditions were compared between these two groups. Results The total effective rate was 97.37% in the experimental group and was 78.79% in the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05). The hospital stay, antidiarrheal time, virus clearance time, fever-disappeared time, stool forming time were shorter in the experimental group than in the control group, with statistical differences (P < 0.05). Conclusions Reduning in the treatment of rotavirus enteritis is significantly effective and can shorten the patient's hospital stay, promote the patients’ rehabilitation, and so it can be clinically widely used. Key words: Reduning; Rotavirus enteritis; Treatment effect
