Abstract

Achievement of plant capacity and reducing bottlenecks in the production process at wet blanket<br />workstation determined on the level worker of musculoskeletal disorders and the cycles time of the production<br />process per slabs. Capabilities and limitations of workers, equipment, task, and environmental organizations<br />must be harmonized for level of workers musculoskeletal disorders and the cycles time of the production<br />process per slabs reduction. The problem scale priority based on total ergonomics must be applied early with<br />identification of 8 aspects of ergonomics, planned and considered systemic, holistic, interdisciplinary and<br />participatory and apply the concept of appropriate technology become one of problem solution about this case.<br />Reduction of level of worker musculoskeletal disorders and cycles time of the production process per slabs<br />based on ergonomics; include redesigning of the ergonomics table and standing-seat chair folding work wet<br />blanket, setting the pattern system of pair work, giving an active break, providing additional nutrition in<br />the form of sweet tea and snack pempek, provision of personal protective equipment, and redesigning of the<br />physical work environment. Experimental research was using the treatment by subject design, with involved<br />17 workers samples who perform activities on the conditions of activity before and after the redesign based<br />on ergonomics. The level worker of muskuluskeletal disorders, and the cycle time of the production process<br />per slabs data were analyzed using Two Pair Sample t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results of study<br />showed that after redesign of wet blanket workstation based on ergonomics there was a significant reduction<br />of the level worker of muskuluskeletal disorders as 21.02%, and reduction of the cycles time of the production<br />process per slabs as 21.85%.

Latar Belakang Masalah

Output produksi stasiun kerja blanket basah (SKBB) industri karet di Palembang Provinsi Su38. Reduksi Keluhan Muskuloskeletal Pekerja dan Waktu Siklus Proses Produksi Berbasis Ergonomi Pada Industri Karet matera Selatan belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan input stasiun kerja crumb rubber, karena SKBB masih banyak didominasi oleh pekerjaan manual. Di SKBB masih sering terjadi bottleneck proses produksi, dikarenakan tidak seimbangnya kecepatan proses 3 mesin creeper dengan proses melipat dan memotong blanket basah oleh 6 pekerja di meja lipat blanket basah, kapasitas pabrik belum terpenuhi dan dominasi kerja manual. Demikian juga waktu siklus proses produksi per keping atau produktivitas pekerja perlu ditingkatkan sehingga mampu mereduksi fenomena bottleneck dan mencapai kapasitas terpasang pabrik, yaitu 60.000 ton/tahun. Jurnal Rekayasa Sistem Industri Vol., No.1, 2015 pandang perlu untuk melaksanakan suatu penelitian perancangan SKBB dengan intervensi berbasis ergonomi total, sehingga mampu mereduksi (1) keluhan muskuloskeletal dan (2) waktu siklus proses produksi per keping. Melalui intervensi berbasis ergonomi total dalam industri karet/crumb rubber tersebut diharapkan hasil yang dicapai lebih manusiawi, kompetitif, dan lestari (Istijanto. 2005; Manuaba, 2006)
