AbstractIn sulfur dioxide the β‐hydroxy selenides 1 and 2 produce rearranged selenides 6 and 7 upon addition of fluorosulfonic acid. Reductive elimination and subsequent attack of the selenenyl electrophile on the etheno bridge cause migration of the butadiene moiety.
