Abstract

A problem of reducing fuzzy matrices is considered, and some results are obtained with regard to nilpotent matrices. First reduction of irreflexive and transitive matrices is examined and then the results are applied to nilpotent matrices. Nilpotent matrices are matrices which represent acyclic graphs and the graphs are used to represent consistent systems. The results are useful for simplification of various systems with fuzzy transitivity.
