Abstract

Controlling the processes of interaction of the working pairs of the friction unit is possible when solving the problem of determining the parameters of influence. As the main criterion of the process, it is necessary to highlight the temperature on the surface of the friction unit. This paper presents a method for modeling the magnitude and distribution of temperature over the surface of a metal friction element depending on the nanogeometry of the surface profile of contact pairs of friction units. The ability to control the process of interaction of contacting pairs of the friction unit will further predict the life of the part and avoid such phenomena as burns and the formation of foci of microcracks.
