Abstract

The influence of the process of signal filtration on the shape and noise component of analytic signals in electrothermal atomic-absorption spectrometry at rates of heating of graphite tube furnaces on the order of 10,000 K·sec–1 is investigated. A digital filter with finite impulse response and symmetric coefficients by means of which the noise component of the signals can be reduced by 90% without any distortion in the signal shape is synthesized. This also helps to realize a 90% reduction in the detection threshold of elements.
