Abstract

ABSTRACT A streamflow, irrigation diversion, and suspended sediment study on the Reynolds Creek Experimental Watershed in southwest Idaho showed the effectiveness of an irrigation system in reducing downstream sedi-ment loads. About 560 t (metric tonne) of sediment per year was deposited on 690 ha of pasture, hay, and grain cropland, an average deposition of 0.08 mm/yr.
