Abstract

The composted poultry litter was taken for the quantitative analysis of Tetracyclines. In this work the relative antibiotic compound included Oxytetracycline and their traces were encountered in the initial poultry litter and in their respective 30 days interval composted samples and the quantification is done by HPLC optimized by the method followed by Feng et al., 2016. From the quantification method the oxytetracycline compound were detected quantitatively to the tune of 216.67 mg kg-1 as against 33.97 mg kg-1 respectively in the raw poultry litter and composted poultry litter, respectively. It indicated that composting of animal manures is capable of reducing the antibiotic concentration drastically from the raw manures.
