Abstract
We propose a modified approach for DFT-based spectra and cross-spectra estimation that allows to significantly reduce the problem of spectral leakage at very low frequencies. This results in the ability to select larger resolution bandwidths that, in turn, allow for reduced measurement time for a given maximum level of statistical error in spectral points at very low frequencies.
