Abstract
ABSTRACT Asimulation model for evaluating use of spare batteries for forklift trucks is developed. User-provided inputs to the model include number and sizes of forklift trucks and batteries, probability function for usage, and interchangeability of forklift trucks. The simulation output can be used for estimating costs and payback period for purchase of spare batteries.
