Abstract

Levels of serum albumin have been recognized as a marker of malnutrition, inflammation, impaired hepatic synthesis and overall catabolic status. We investigated the relationship between serum albumin concentration in patients with severe heart failure and their long-term outcome after cardiac transplantation.
