Abstract
In this paper, a reduced-order observer is designed and parameterized for singular systems in terms of doubly copriroe factorizations. First, by means of a new restricted system equivalent form of singular systems, a reduced-order observer is designed, whose order is rank[E/C]-rank[C]. Then, the parameterization of the reduced-order observer is developed. The free parameters in observers are restricted within strictly proper stable rational functions.
