Abstract
ABSTRACTAs the increasing scarcity of the fossil fuel is rising day by day, alternate fuel or vegetable oils that available naturally can be used as a substitute to the conventional fuels in diesel engines. In this work, a new type of biodiesel fuel, Chicha oil methyl ester, is introduced as alternate fuel in diesel engine. The use of biodiesel resulted in lower carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions and increased emissions of carbon di oxide and nitrogen oxides. The experimental results proved that the use of Chicha oil biodiesel as fuel in diesel engine is a viable alternative to diesel fuel.
