Abstract

(Abstracted from Obstet Gynecol 2023;142:8–18) Preventive care during pregnancy generally involves screening and monitoring of both mother and fetus to minimize negative outcomes for both during pregnancy and childbirth. Previous research has demonstrated improved outcomes associated with high-quality antenatal care but has not established optimal timing or frequency of visits for routine care.
