Abstract
Affinity chromatography on Concanavalian A-Sephrose is widely used for purification of glycoproteins carrying mannose and glucose oligosaccharide moietics. High concentrations of chaotropes elute Concanavalin A from gel matrix and significantly reduce the binding capacity of the column.
