Abstract

The paper deals with absorption of resonance and continuum radiation in an expanding gaseous sphere. For self-similar expansion, a probability of radiation to be transmitted is studied depending on the velocity gradient and optical thickness. It is shown that an optically thick medium grows thinner with the velocity gradient.
