Abstract

Abstract Reduction(E1/2 (red)) and oxidation(E1/2(ox)) potentials of 32 cobalt(III) mixed-ligand complexes with sulfur, phosphorus, and nitrogen donor atoms were obtained. A good linear relationship was found between the potential difference, ΔE(redox) ≡ e[E1/2(ox) − E1/2(red)], and the first d-d transition energy.
