Rediscovery ofSergestes verpusBurkenroad, 1940 (Sergestidae, Crustacea), from the Indian Ocean with description of the female

Abstract

The specimens of Sergestes verpus Burkenroad, 1940 obtained by INS Kistna during International Indian Ocean Expedition (1962–65) afford the first subsequent record of the species. The single female described along with the males is the first known female of the species.
