Abstract
Ibipora lolii is redescribed from unthrifty turf areas of Cynodon dactylon, Agrostis stolonif era and Lolium perenne found in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The new species is larger than I. lineatus, I. jara or I. anama, the other species in the genus, and differs from them in having protruding vulval lips and protruding sclerotized pieces in the vagina. Host range studies showed reproduction of this nematode on graminaceous hosts, the best host was L. perenne. No reproduction occurred on dicotyledonous hosts. In glasshouse inoculation tests, it severely reduced the growth of C. dactylon and L. perenne.
