Abstract

Xiphinema rivesi and Xiphinema americanum are redescribed and illustrated from several eastern Canadian localities. Xiphinema occiduum n. sp. is described and illustrated from western Canada. The new species is most closely related to X. utahense but differs by the shorter odontostyle, greater J length and width, more anterior guiding ring, smaller a value and less elongate tail. The distribution and hosts of each species in Canada are also provided.
