Abstract

A tense debate has been established in the field of geographical science which has revealed a strong and debatable relationship between the concepts of network and territory, both marked by antagonism and discord, and also by reciprocity and implications. On one hand, during the effort to figure this features out, dichoto mous positions that advocated the incompatibility of their association were broadcast. This was grounded on the idea that networks and territories would occupy distinct and irreconcilable logical space. On the other hand, if their specificities are acceptable by many, the use of the concepts have been used by as conjugate / articulate in order to produce new proposals with the intention to have a spatial reading of society. Bearing this debate in mind and based on the idea of systematization, this text was structured.
