Abstract

The objectives of this study are to identify the cooperation between the small hospitality firms and institutions and associations involved in tourism. The sample criteria was of accessibility or adhesion and had been made 43 interviews carried with hotel owners or managers. The cooperation between the hotels and the other companies of the sector occurs in the majority of the cases, however, the majority of the hotels does not cooperate with other hotels because of lack and loyalty between them as a result of the great sector competitiveness caused by individualism. The great majority of the respondents does not consider that support of the government to the sector exists because the bureaucracy and the unfami- liarity of the activity make difficult this support.
