University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland Rosacea, a chronic inflammatory skin disease of unknown etiology, occurs mainly in red-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned individuals of Northern European and Celtic origin. This article discusses the association of rosacea with the Irish population, the clinical symptoms of rosacea, the management of red face symptoms, the diagnosis and management of red acne, as well as related clinical trial updates.
