Abstract

40 year old lady presented to eye casualty on several occaions with irritated, sticky, red left eye. Prior to this she was contact lens (CL) user but had to stop wearing soft contact ens for a few months. On the left side the conjunctiva was njected and cornea had superficial punctuate keratopathy along ith an inflamed superior limbus. (Fig. 1a and b) left eye lid as everted and no foreign body was identified. All cultures aken from the conjunctiva failed to show any growth. On her nal visit, double eversion with Desmarre’s retractor was perormed which revealed multiple pieces of contact lens on the uperior fornices of both eyes (Fig. 1c and d). She was then treated ith prednisolone acetate 1% which resolved surface inflammaion.
