Abstract

Recrystallizaton processes in isotactic polypropylene (iPP) of different morphologies, which occur during accelerated ageing, were studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and density measurements. Morphology and initial crystallinity were found to have an influence on recrystallization. Differences in recrystallization behavior of iPP were considered as the consequence of the concentration and strain of taut-tie molecules.
