Abstract
1. It was found that, in determining the recrystallization temperature, one must take into account not only the deformation conditions but also the initial nonequilibrium structure preceding deformation, which has a significant influence in a number of alloys. 2. Heat treatment of ingots of aluminum alloys with manganese during which the solid solution is decomposed decreases the recrystallization temperature of rods, while heat treatment of aluminum alloys containing zirconium increases the recrystallization temperature. Slow cooling increases this influence in the first case and weakens it in the second case.
