More supportive working and learning environments for anaesthesia trainees would help tackle problems of low recruitment and high attrition in the specialty, researchers have said. Researchers from Aberdeen University looked at the factors influencing the trainees’ decisions about their careers. They also found concerns about the impact of service demands on training quality.
