Abstract
Larvae of eight crane fly species of the family Limoniidae are discussed. Ecological characteristics, descriptions and illustrations are given for the earlier unknown or little known larvae of Dicranomyia (Dicranomyia) distendens Lundstrom, 1912; Erioptera (Erioptera) divisa (Walker, 1848); Erioptera (Erioptera) limbata Loew, 1873; Helius pallirostris Edwards, 1921; Hexatoma (Hexatoma) vittata (Meigen, 1830); Limnophila (Limnophila) pictipennis (Meigen, 1818); Paradelphomyia (Oxyrhiza) fuscula (Loew, 1873); Pseudolimnophila sepium (Verrall, 1886).
