Abstract
4 speciments of Trogrodytes troglodytes penicelae (Clark) were obtained at Eboshi Is. west of Kiushu (3 specimens, new locality) and Umashima Is., Shimane Prefecture (1 specimen). This suggests that the race winters in Kiushiu and/or western Honshiu. 2 specimens of Phylloscopus borealis (kennicottii (Baird)?) were obtained atTakeshima Is. in Japan Sea.
