Abstract

This review examined research into adult male sexual offenders in England and Wales that used reconviction as an outcome. The main themes in this area of research were: the use of reconviction as an outcome, risk assessment, treatment outcomes and treatment change. The contribution of reconviction data to the study of sexual offending is appraised. Research gaps are examined in order to identify the agenda for future research.
