Abstract
The fundamental principles of ophthalmic plastic surgery have long been known. Starting from these, the possible variations on basic techniques are almost innumerable. Each surgeon usually develops and prefers his own modification. The author's wide experience with ophthalmic reconstructive problems merits close attention to his opinions concerning procedures he has found most effective. Clear line drawings help the concise text immensely. Doctor Callahan's most recent volume is highly recommended to those interested in reparative surgery.
