Abstract

Several studies have reported that mouse GV oocytes can undergo meiotic division to produce first polar body following reconstruction with somatic cell nuclear transfer. However, no further available data to assess the meiotic spindle and genetic make ups following somatic cell transfer. In this study, the nuclei of the mouse cumular cells were transferred into the enucleated germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes using Piezo-impact injector. Following in vitro maturation first polar body (PB) and spindle morphology of reconstructed oocytes were evaluated using a Spindleview system.
