Abstract
It is suggested that, under the stimulus of the current criticisms by engineers, the teaching of physics be drastically modernized. Two attempts in this direction at Saint Louis University are described: one is the introduction of five weeks of modern physics into the second year of the two-year Engineering Physics course, and the other, an undergraduate (senior) course in Relativity and Quantum Mechanics.
