Abstract

The use ofvascular conduits to restore the outflow of segments 5and 8 in RL grafts without the MHV trunk, keeping theMHV with the donor, alleviates this concern and sub-stantially increases the safety margin in live donor sur-gery, and therefore might lead to further universal ap-proval of live donor liver transplantation.Various methods have been devised to establish per-fect graft outflow for RL grafts without the MHV, includ-ing the use of various types of autogenous or allogenicinterposition vascular grafts.
