Hospital. He was a little old man with stooped shoulders, dilapidated and unkempt, his expression a vacant smile. He displayed the characteristic apathy of catatonic schizophrenia. His eyes, his incongruous smile, his withdrawn, regressed appearance, his manner-all seemed to me to convey a plea for protection.
