Abstract
The study of the geothermal field of Nisiros island has been one of the main subjects for the Public Power Corporation (PPC) of Greece during the last few years. A number of deep geothermal drillings, as production wells, are planned to be done at the extreme southern Nisiros. The purpose of the geophysical surveys (gravity, SP and VLF measurements) in this area was to investigate the major and minor faulting zones which are geothermally active, that is if geothermal fluid circulation takes place.
