Abstract

The term Reconfigurable antenna plays a significant role in almost all applications where multi tasking and compactness are the key specifications. Reconfigurable antennas can radiate at different frequencies and are well opted for most of the wireless Telecommunication protocol standards. This paper addresses a well dedicated switching mechanism was proposed to switch the antenna radiated power for different frequencies and to support different communication network standards at different frequencies like WLAN 5.2/5.8 GHz, Wi-Fi 5.5 GHz, WiMAX 3.5/5.5 GHz and 3G UMTS at 2.1 GHz. A 14 armed monopole antenna is etched on the top of FR4 dielectric substrate with silt in ground plane and feed line is deigned. This dual slit mechanism will help to achieve reconfiguration, through switching operation between specific frequency bands giving different polarization. Later on the proposed model is simulated using HFSS software.
