Abstract
Los esquemas de clasificacion de revistas se utilizan conrelativa frecuencia en la practica bibliometrica. Inicialmentecreados para facilitar la recuperacion de informacion, suempleo en estudios bibliometricos de corte evaluativo aumentoa partir de la ultima decada del pasado siglo (Glanzel ySchubert, 2003). En este sentido, los esquemas masconocidos y usados son las listas de categorias tematicas delWeb of Science y Scopus, reconocidas por multiples autorescomo taxonomias de referencia para la ciencia (Leydesdorff etal., 2013).
