Recommendation System Using Location-Based Services

Abstract

In today’s world, Technology is a boundary of its own, it continues to change, to expand and to reshape our environment. As technology continues to be explored and extended, more life will change, creating new habits, and forming new ways to work together. Although the future is uncertain, we believe in using technologies to create tailored techniques and solutions.. This evolution of technology is occurring at a rapid pace, and so are the needs and dependencies of people on it. In this paper, our main focus is to expand the e-commerce activities and make them more user friendly by primarily focusing on the location of the user. Thus through this, we are proposing an online shopping recommendation system that detects the current location of the user and recommends him goods that are essential in his/her locality by analysing the needs and demands of those living in his neighbourhood. This subsequently also helps the user to adapt to a new location quickly without having to think much about the essentials as it will be recommended to him by the application.
