Abstract

Measurements are presented of range spectra, angular distributions etc. of short tracks (⪅ 10 μm) in nuclear emulsions from disintegrations produced by 4, 5 GeV negative pions. A tendency is observed of these tracks to be backward collimated with respect to the primary in stars emitting heavy nuclear fragments (Li, Be, B).
