Abstract

This is a review of selected decisions passed by Austrian supreme courts in 2009 on the basis of the European Convention on Human Rights. Quite exceptionally, there is also a short report on legal developments in Europe, including the perspective of the European Union’s adhering to the European Convention on Human Rights, the entry into force of Protocol No 14 to the Convention, and further attempts to reform the Court’s procedure.
