Abstract

This chapter will review general trends in mental health among the newest generations of our current and burgeoning workforce. Lifestyle and sociopolitical factors that uniquely impact both Millennials and Generation Z will be considered, along with their associated impact on mental health. The interrelatedness between psychological wellness and career concerns will be outlined, and the need for mental health and career service integration will be highlighted. Strategies for supporting current and future undergraduate students in a manner that amplifies adaptability, resourcefulness, and resilience will be offered. Considerations for an increasingly diverse student body and workforce will be shared throughout the chapter.
