Abstract
Recent trends of optical computing researches in Japan are introduced, focusing on the latest R&D activities on analog and/or digital optical computing systems, optical interconnections, optoelectronic functional devices. As new trends of optical computing research, vision optical computers and temporal-spatial optical computing systems for high-speed visual information processing and communication are presented.
