Abstract

The study of energy- and angle-resolved double photoionization leads to the triple-differential cross section (TDCS) which can provide, except for the spin polarization of the electrons, the most complete information on the double photoionization process. Three recent results will be presented: an absolute measurement for a selected helium TDCS pattern, TDCS patterns for direct double photoionization in neon leading to the three final ionic states, 1S e, 3P e, and 1D e of the np 4 ion core, and an investigation of resonance-affected double photoionization in the neon 2p 4 1D e continuum.
