Abstract

Recoil-Decay-Tagging (RDT) experiments for studies of shape coexistence in neutron deficient nuclei near Z = 82 have been continued at JYFL by employing the JUROGAM gamma-ray detector array and the GREAT spectrometer at the RITU gas-filled separator. A new non-yrast band has been observed in 186Pb and tentatively associated with oblate shape. New experiments for 254N0 were also carried out with tbe same set-up revealing feeding via highly coverted M1 transitions.
