Abstract
Hadron photoproductions from liquid hydrogen, liquid deuterium, and nuclear targets have been studied at the SPring‐8 LEPS experiment by using a 1.5–2.4 GeV photon beam. Charged particles are detected in the forward spectrometer. An energy‐upgraded photon beam and a time projection chamber have been combined depending on physics programs. Data collected since the year 2000 has been analyzed for photoproductions of pentaquark, φ meson, and hyperons. Construction of a new beamline has been proposed as a near‐future project to upgrade beam intensity, beam energy, detector resolutions, and geometrical acceptances.
