Abstract

AbstractPhotocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction represents a promising means of solar‐fuel production through conversion of CO2 feedstock. Suitable reactive sites are crucially important for ensuring high efficiency and good selectivity of target products. The construction of single‐atomic reactive sites with earth‐abundant materials on the surface of semiconductor can provide an efficient and cost‐effective route of photocatalytic reaction, demonstrating great potential for photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction. Herein, we give a short review on the mechanism of photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction, single‐atom reactive sites and the constructing strategies, recent progress and future perspectives of single‐atom reactive sites with earth‐abundant materials for photocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction.
