Abstract

Technology has displayed a powerful hold in every facet of life. It has also transformed the mundane learning process into a joyful learning process. Firstly, the teaching–learning process is entirely dynamic; likewise, the methods of teaching should be renovated from time to time. Secondly, our classrooms have a heterogeneous population of students, so it is utterly impossible to teach them only through traditional ways of learning. A profuse number of teaching methods are required for teaching the students. Blended learning is one of the most significant and efficacious strategies for integrating technology into education. Blended learning involves person-to-person learning with online learning. It has multifarious advantages for the education system. The models of blended learning have changed from time to time. Earlier there was a pure offline system of teaching but with the technological advancements, educators and teachers introduced some online interventions in the teaching–learning process. Those interventions were primarily asynchronous. But the recent innovations of computing in education have put forward the new collaborative blended model of teaching–learning. The study reported here is undertaken to explore the emerging collaborative blended model of learning. Further, this paper will also reflect the role of co-teaching in the collaborative blended model of learning.
