Abstract

We discuss the analytical calculation of the renormalization group β-function at the 4-loop order of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. In addition we have obtained the order αs3 contribution to the Ellis-Jaffe sum rule for the structure function g1 of polarized deep inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering.
