Abstract
This paper summarizes some of the contributions presented at the Theory Workshop ‘‘High Energy Spin Physics’’ which was held at the Minneapolis Theoretical Physics Institute before the Symposium. Among the subjects we discussed let us mention, polarized structure functions, polarized fragmentation functions, spin in inclusive hadronic reactions, spin in exclusive reactions, spin and new physics signals at future colliders and the role of spin in quark model predictions. Since several of these contributions are included in the proceedings of the symposium, we will only give a short review of some recent theoretical ideas which try to explain existing spin measurements and represent a real challenge for future experiments. We will see that spin effects are still puzzling and play a significant role in our understanding of strong interactions dynamics.
